It has been three years since last time I saw Slaughter and Great White in concert and definitely I was not disappointment, it was a great show with excellent songs selection, sound and lighting, I had a media access to photograph the 80’s band, they did not have a pit for media which made my work a little bit more challenging but fun. It was not a sold out concert at the Hard Rock Casino Vancouver but still a great night for blues and rock and roll.
Marck Slaughter with an exceptional vocal performance along with Dana Strum and Zoltan Chaney who were full of energy and guitar solos from the new lead guitar Jeff “Blando” Bland performed classics like “Mad About You”, “Fly to the Angels” and “Up All night” which ended the night.
It was time for the Great White to take the stage, It did not take long for the crowd to get on their feet. the anticipation was in the air.
Definitely, Terry has something with is bluesy vocals that captivate and make you back in time along with the riffs from Mark Kendall.
The band performed for over one hour and a half and I was able to photograph them along they were playing hits as “Rock Me”, “Once Bitten Twice Shy” and “Face the Day”
Two greats of the 80s scene Rock and Roll, Overall, this was a great night of music for the fans in Vancouver. All of those who attended this show were thoroughly rocked and impressed by this showcase from some of the best performers of their day, still going strong all this time later. If this tour hits up your town and you are a fan of either band, it is definitely worth attending!
